From the periscope air intakes to these flanking the cockpit, Niki Lauda’s 312 was a sensational car. I love how Ferrari integrated their sponsorship in such a tasteful manner. This is a piece from my “Covid Collection”, a series of fully digital illustrations. When you can’t shop at the art supply store, you find new ways to use the tools you have.

One of a “COVID Collection” pieces, this is another that I’ve been wanting to get to for years. Niki Lauda’s Ferrari from 1976, yes, that year, had an interesting evolution. Originally spec’d with the periscope air intake, these were banned mid-season. The side intakes and the corresponding white panel graphics create an iconic look. One of my favorite racecars of all time.
